Credit Controller DACH

Job description
For a retail organization located in Amsterdam is Career Control currently looking for an experienced Credit Controller.

As a Credit Controller, you will join a small team responsible for managing a large portfolio of client accounts. You will also be responsible for managing overdue client accounts, ensuring all amounts are collected in line with payment terms, preparing information for key customers and stakeholders, working closely with internal members. Your specific responsibilities will include:

  • Analysis of the credit worthiness of each individual counterparty (customer) and set the credit limit and payment terms in relation to the Credit Policy
  • Build and manage a relationship with Customer Services and Sales to effectively resolve any customer dispute
  • Escalate disagreements with Sales and Customer Service to the Credit Manager
  • Managing the transfer of bad debt accounts to the Legal credit rep
  • Any other duties deemed necessary by the Credit Manager to improve the Credit Risk Portfolio

The perfect profile
Our client requires somebody who has a Credit Control background along with having proven experience of working to deadlines and prioritising workloads, analysing and guiding a process from start to finish. You must also be confident with Microsoft Excel along with knowledge of Financial Systems (SAP, OnGuard). Next to this we are looking for someone who has:

  • At least two years credit and collections background
  • The ability to handle multiple tasks
  • Negotiation skills
  • Is customer service-oriented
  • Proficiency in German and English, excellent written and verbal communication skills
