This hotel group operates 11 hotels in the Netherlands, all hotels are operated under franchise agreements with three globally recognized brands;. The 11 hotels are spread across the Netherlands, seven hotels in and around Amsterdam and 4 hotels in key regional centers in Rotterdam, The Hague, Utrecht and Arnhem. All hotels are supported by a central support office which is located at Amsterdam. The support office supports the hotels with HR, Finance, Revenue & Sales and Operations services.

  • As the Senior Controller you will be responsible for hotel and business controlling for the entire portfolio.
  • You will lead, coach and develop the central finance team (all located at the support office).
  • Together with the team you are responsible for the day-to-day financial operations.
  • You will analyse, control and optimize historical and future data. You will manage weekly, monthly quarterly & yearly reporting (P&L, Balance Sheets, Cash Flow, Annual Reporting).
  • You are part of the company’s senior leadership team and involved in the strategic decisionmaking process
  • The role reports into the Operations Director with a dotted line to the Finance Team of the management company.


  • Management reporting activities including preparation, and analysis of monthly rolling forecast and owner/stakeholder reporting.
  • Analyze hotel performance against budget/forecast and key performance indicators
  • Assist in the Annual budgeting process • Initiate, lead and improve financial reporting and accounting processes
  • Identify and monitor signals of risks or frauds
  • Provide accurate and complete financial data (P&L) to Management including analysis on main P&L’s variables
  • Work closely with the HOD’s to analyze business results to ensure targets are set and achieved.
  • Financial and statutory reporting to ensure the business is in control and compliant with all relevant regulations.
  • Continue to develop the finance team to become best in class.

  • A Finance degree (accounting and controlling) and at least 8+ years of experience in finance, preferably within the hospitality industry and a cluster environment.
  • Must speak and write fluent English and Dutch, other language preferred.
  • Problem solving, reasoning, motivating, organizational and training abilities are used often.
  • Ability to identify opportunities and constantly improve processes.
  • Communication skills are utilized a significant amount of time when interacting with others; demonstrated ability to interact with your team, employees in the hotels and third parties that reflects positively on the hotel, the brands and the Company.
  • Self-driven and highly motivated, with the ability to work within set deadlines and prioritize responsibilities.

Salary: 65 - 75K (including 8% holiday pay)
