Accountant

The role will be responsible for all operational activities related to Record to Report process including:

• Prepare upload files for reporting into the global consolidation system and manage queries from Global HQ teams
• Answer independent queries from Global HQ regarding monthly/quarterly/annual reporting for assigned entities
• Perform quarterly balance sheet & P&L reviews with documented scopes / thresholds which demonstrate knowledge and understanding of the changes taking place within the entity
• Lead the annual/quarterly audit by preparing required schedules and interacting directly with the external auditors in compliance with IFRS or another applicable framework
• Perform assigned internal control/SOX activities
• Develop understanding of transactions taking place within all areas of the balance sheet and P&L and control these transactions
• Draft position papers based upon applicable accounting framework
• Keep abreast of new accounting pronouncements and their impact on assigned entity(-ies)
• Represent Record to Report team within interdisciplinary project teams and signal issues to the management
• Develop/lead (cross-functional) initiatives to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of processes in the EHQ and see them through to completion

Your profile: To be successful in this challenging role, you are expected to have a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance or Accounting. You must have at least 3 years of relevant work experience in an accounting and/or reporting related role in a large multinational (preferably in a shared service environment).

You will also need:

• Knowledge of general ledger operational accounting
• Extensive knowledge of IFRS
• Solid grounding in reporting systems, preferably SAP and SAP consolidation system;
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, such as Excel, Word and PowerPoint;
• A business orientation and be a dedicated team player with a pragmatic approach;
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills in English, both written and verbal;

The salary offer depends on knowledge and experience, but will be in the range of € 3,800 - € 4,500 gross per month based on 40 hours, excluding holiday allowance and bonus.
