Manager Financial Reporting & Accounting

Cygnific is a 100% subsidiary from KLM/Air France with approximately 700 employees of approximately 40 nationalities. Cygnific is an international and dynamic sales and service centre with their headquarter in Amsterdam and an office in Enschede.

In this role, you take care of the reliable and timely financial accounting to internal and external stakeholders according to Dutch GAAP and IFRS. You will be working in a small and close team, in which you manage the Payroll Administrator.

Function description:

Ensure at all times the reliable and timely financial reporting (‘financial accounting’) for Cygnific to internal and external stakeholders within the financial accounting principles set by the parent company KLM N.V. and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (Dutch GAAP, IFRS).

Responsibilities:

Financial closing & reporting

• Overall responsible for the reliable and timely financial closing & reporting (‘financial accounting’). Part of this is the reporting of the financial statements (balance sheet, profit & loss) both internally and externally (KLM Corporate Control) while adhering to strict deadlines.
• Internal Control and Accounting Procedures
• Overall responsible for the adherence to the accounting principles set by KLM N.V. and GAAP. Develop, implement and maintain financial procedures and internal controls in line with accounting principles and external guidelines (GAAP).

Salary administration

• Manage and execute the internal controls over the salary administration and settlement of the payment obligations towards the employees according to Cygnific’s labour conditions and remuneration policy, within the boundaries of the Dutch fiscal and social legislation against the most favourable conditions.

Tax

• Overall responsible for all tax related items related to the Cygnific operation, including the relationship with AF & KLM Corporate Tax Department.

Purchase contract management

• Responsible for safeguarding that the purchasing contracting processes are executed according to agreed upon standards and policies.

Managing the unit

• Manage the payroll administrator and the process in the most efficient and effective way.

Job Requirements

Job requirements:

• HBO/University level
• 4-6 years experience in an accounting position in a commercial and service oriented international business environment of at least a medium sized company
• Some management experience is an advantage
• Basic knowledge of salary administration
• Knowledge of Dutch tax rules and regulations
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office and preferably SAP
• Good knowledge of English (written and spoken) is essential, Dutch is preferred
• Experience with Dutch GAAP and IFRS is an advantage.

Salary and Benefits

Salary is depending on age and working experience and amounts to max € 3400 gross per month. Excellent benefits.
