As General Ledger Accountant for Teva in Haarlem you will work in an international and challenging environment. In this position you will play a key role in completing timely and accurate accounting of all activities in the General Ledger. This includes management of local GL accounting, maintaining reconciliations, closing processes, related deliverables and closing processes in the Shared Service Center.
You will be responsible for the month-end close and financial reporting. Besides that you will facilitate the development and writing of standardized policies and procedures. The ideal candidate has a HBO / Bachelor degree and at least 3-5 years relevant experience in accounting. Besides that, the candidate is structured, focused and has a drive to work hard within Teva.
Responsible for general ledger month-end, including preparing, reviewing and analyzing journal entries;
Recording and reconciling intercompany activities;
Handling and processing the various cross charges of expenses through various companies;
Fixed Assets (FA) accounting, including project accounting;
Expense report accounting, receipt review, audit, processing, recording;
Management of GL accounting closing processes in Shared Service Center;
Investigating questionable data;
Responsible for ensuring compliance with documented financial reporting and other related controls and updating related documents as necessary to comply with Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) requirements;
Government filing including, but not limited to VAT;
Ensuring that archived records are maintained to satisfy audit and statutory requirements;
Your Skills / Qualifications
HBO / Bachelor’s degree;
Minimum 3-5 years relevant work experience (accounting);
Fluent in English (verbal & written), Dutch is preferred;
Oracle experience is a plus;
Advanced level Excel skills and Access;
Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing;
Clear and effective communications skills;
Hard worker, structured and focused;
Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to teach basic software functionally to others.
