Your new challenge
You are member of a team which is responsible for the total financial reporting; the reporting to ABN AMRO (SAP FC), internal reports such as management performance reports, cost center reports and commercial reports. The team works closely to the business to understand the story behind the figures to be able to provide concise, accurate and timely reports. You also ensure a complete, timely and accurate month-end closing process and perform the consolidation activities for the group based on the input from the central accounting team.
You handle all (effective) tax issues and perform the monitoring and testing of IFRS deferred taxes (monthly VAT filings, tax advance payments, annual tax declarations and electronic tax filings) applicable in the Netherlands.
You co-ordinate the tax reports from the countries to the group and have an understanding of local income tax specificaties to co-ordinate the transfer pricing.
You are an energetic finance professional and strive for high quality financial reporting. You use your knowledge, skills and behaviour to put the client at the centre of everything you do. You truly enjoy working in a team in an international environment.
– Knowledge of Accountancy & Controlling or Business Economics at bachelor level.
– Knowledge of the IFRS principles, financial management and the financial services industry.
– 3 years work experience, in an international environment will be an advantage
– Excellent team player with a strong focus on working together to achieve results
– The role requires fluent English and Dutch, other language skills in French or German are a plus, and readiness to perform occasional business trips in the countries of the Group.

Your new employer
The operating model of the finance function is re-designed from a decentralised (local) organisation with country finance heads (reporting to CFO and local managing directors) to a centralised organisation (where possible) with three teams: 1) Central Accounting, Reporting & Treasury (ART), 2) Business Performance Management, 3) Basel and Capital Management. The team ART ensures the proper recording of financial information in the financial administration, the local country accounts and the monthly closing procedure. It compiles, validates and reports the local and (consolidated) figures for the Group, including internal (management) reports, statutory accounts and regulatory reporting. The team will take care of the centralisation of accounting activities from UK and FR to the Netherlands. The Group / NL reporting officer reports to the Head of Accounting, Reporting & Treasury.
