Your new challenge
As a Financial Analyst your responsibilities are:
- Annual Budget Control Cycle:
You support the development of complex budget templates to assist in the budget preparation and
continuously improve these to ensure effective planning cycles and analysis.
- Quarterly Forecasting:
You support the development of the forecasting templates and analysis framework to assist in the
development of action plans to achieve KPIs and KBIs.
- Business Performance:
You support the development of templates and performance dashboards for tracking and challenging the development of annual budgets on income and costs. In addition, you maintain and contribute to the development of the pricing tool to ensure proper risk-reward pricing.
- Ad hoc analysis:
You provide ad hoc analysis and support deep dives on topical subjects.
You are an energetic finance professional and strive for high quality financial analysis, budget and
forecasts. As a Financial Analyst you use your knowledge, skills and behaviour to put the client at the centre of everything you do. You truly enjoy working in a team in an international environment.
Preferred skills and competencies:
• Knowledge of Economics, Statistics and/or Business Administration at bachelor level.
• Knowledge of financial accounting and controlling.
• 1 - 3 years’ experience in a management accounting/reporting environment.
• Excellent team player with a strong focus on working together to achieve results
• Strong analytical skills
• Proficiency in Excel and Powerpoint
• The role requires fluent English, other language skills in Dutch, French or German are a plus
Your new employer
The operating model of the finance function is re-designed from a decentralised (local)
organization with country finance heads (reporting to CFO and local managing directors) to a
centralised organization (where possible) with three teams: 1) Central Accounting, Reportgin &
Treasury (ART), 2) Business Performance Management (BPM), 3) Basel, Data & Capital Management
The Group Business Performance Management team performs coordinating and controlling
activities to gain insight on financial performance on a local and consolidated level. As such the
department leads the local operations on the Group and the Netherlands on their financial
management. It delivers consolidated financial management for the Group and all operating entities
and provides financial reporting in order to effectively monitor and inform on performance on financial and non-financial KPIs. The BPM team also provides in-depth analysis to enable management to steer the group and the local businesses.
The Group BPM team comprises the Business Performance Manager Group / NL, a Finance Analyst
and two Controlling Officers. In addition, in all countries a local Business Performance Manager is
present. The Financial Analyst reports to the Business Performance Manager Group / NL.
